Pula is one of the few European cities that can boast that, even though for a short period, it was home to Irish writer James Joyce.
Bloomsday is a commemoration and celebration of the life and work of James Joyce; this year it will be observed on June 25 and 26 at several locations in the city. This year Bloomsday deals with the problem of misunderstanding the idea of home, fetishization of marriage, dogma and ultimately, nation. And to offer plenty of fun for the audience, the organizers have prepared a lot of live music, free workshops of traditional Irish and modern hip-hop dance, stop animation workshop in coffee accompanied by cocktails.
