Dubrovnik you can revisit the Blackwater Battle, visit the House of the Undying, and even recreate your
own enthralling fifth-season finale!
Confidences are exchanged and conspiracies and alliances made at the Red Keep Gardens within King's
Landing. And to enjoy the lush and exotic vegetation, all you have to do is travel 20 minutes north of Dubrovnik
up the coast to Trsteno Arboretum, dating back to 1502. Among its species of flora are two giant
plane trees over 400 years old that are unique specimens of the plant in Europe.
Some 20 minutes north of Split lies one of "Khaleesi's" conquests. The Klis Fortress was the location
chosen to represent the city of Meereen in the popular TV series. The fort also offers an unforgettable panorama
with a wonderful view of Split, Solin, Kaštela and the islands of Brač, Šolta, Hvar
Games of Thrones is not the only series to choose Croatia as a set, however. In 2015 the popular series "Crossing Lines", starring Donald Sutherland, filmed scenes for the third season in the stunning coastal towns of Opatija, Rijeka and Rovinj, that are all worth more than a visit!
In the beautiful
Paklenica National Park,
you can retrace the footsteps of the Native American hero Winnetou of the cult 1960s films. The filming of a new trilogy about the character, created by Karl May, was begun in the area in 2015, as well as in the regions of Istria, Lika and Gorski Kotar.
