International organ festival Ars organi Sisciae is aiming to present to the international audience the organ heritage of Sisak diocese, a big part of which was unfortunately destroyed during the Homeland War in Croatia. This year the opening of the festival is taking place in Petrinja, the city of  brass music with 210-year-old tradition. This year, for the first time, Ars organi Sisciae is going to take place in an old Croatian village Gornji Viduševac, whose old church used to have the Pumpp organ from 1858. Three of the six concerts are going to take place in Sisak: in Sisak Cathedral, in the Basilica of St. Quirinus and on our most valuable organ from 1777 in the church in Sela. Production wise the most complex project of this edition of the festival is the concert in St. Quirinus Basilica where an international ensemble „Musica maxima“  will present the organ in combination with the didgeridoo, gongs, Tibetan bowls, African drums and special light effects. Erik Jan Eradus, one of the most profound Dutch organists of the younger generation is going to perform on the Heferer organ in Martinska Ves. Ars organi Sisciae is traditionally taking place in Sisak diocese at the beginning of May, this year from 6th untill 13th of May.
